Claire Livesey is an author. She was a children's librarian for sixteen years. She is now
retired, but continues to write stories for children.

About the illustrator (found on the back cover of this book)
Viki Woodworth is an author and an illustrator. Her many children's books include
Can You Grow a Popsicle? and Have You Seen an Elephant's Nest? Viki lives in
Seattle, Washington with her husband and two daughters

Nonfiction Note (found on back cover of this book)
Polliwogs hatch from eggs laid by frogs. When polliwogs grow legs and begin to look
like frogs, they are called froglets. When the tail of a froglet disappears it becomes and
adult frog. Polliwogs are also called tadpoles.
