There is a dedication page in the front of each draft book and an About the Author section on the outside back cover to support continued engagement and feelings of authorship and ownership.
 

Words and Vocabulary:  For continued support for the intermediate student’s  spelling and vocabulary development,
                                   page 80 presents organized space for writing transitional words and phrases and additional
                                   vocabulary, while the inside back cover has columned space for the student’s own word
                                   bank.



























 

Writing and Revision lines: Tight line spacing along with specially marked lines above the writing lines that provide
                                       appropriate space for revisions and comments, as well as blank space for illustrations,
                                       graphic organizers, and related instruction, support intermediate growth and
