	The Fluent Text Features Card The Fluent Text Features Card is a simple tool that helps give a consistent structure to teachers' daily instruction of reading and writing.  This card is designed for use in intermediate grades in the teaching of narrative and expository texts.  Students use the card as a resource to help them problem-solve their way		through texts and understand the author's message or purpose.  By developing a stronger understanding of reading and writing narrative and expository text, it is easier for students to understand other related genre, improve comprehension in their reading and quality in their writing.  See Professional Reading on this subject
