The Learning Network® Karen Reed-Wright, Literacy Coordinator Stacy Edwards, Assistant Principal Katie Moeller, TLN Coordinator, Suzanne Chiles, Site Coordinator 2006 This year's Aspiring Award was presented to The Leadership Teams of Andrew Johnson Elementary School Kingsport City Schools In Memory of the Enduring Spirit of Jan Duncan for Courage and Tenacity Strong Educational Leadership Commitment to Professional Growth of Teachers Inspiring Students to Become Lifelong Learners June 2002

 

The Aspiring Award is an annual tribute to those who have kept the inspiration
and spirit of The Learning Network central to their work as teachers and school

2006 is the fifth year of the presentation of this award.

The Aspiring Award is offered in memory of Jan Duncan, a New Zealand teacher
and teacher educator who worked in the United States for over ten years and had
a surprising and profound influence on the way American teachers see their work.
