Inside Learning Network Schools
Marilyn Herzog General EditorThe Learning Network is a site-based, professional development initiative that focuses on literacy and the growth of skillful teachers. The Network is based on principles of student-centered teaching and learning that apply across all curriculum areas in all grades and with all students. These principles are consistent with recent efforts at school restructuring.
This book is written by educators actively involved in The Learning
Network in many ways. The contributors are superintendents, principals,
district administrators, and teacher leaders in Learning Network schools from
across the United States, and program coordinators for The Learning Network.
They explore the impact this initiative has had at the individual, classroom,
school, and district levels.
