PROFESSIONAL BOOKS		CHILDREN'S BOOKS
Darcy Bradley is our acquisitions editor for professional books. Darcy is now developing books for teachers. Some of our books are written by well-established writers in education; others are written by skillful educators reflecting our learning over the last 15 years     Look for special announcements as we continue     to expand our professional collection.		Our children’s books now include 168 Books for Young Learners in English and 82 in Spanish. Janice Boland, the editor, continues to add new titles each year to BYL, Tristars and our other collections, for elementary school students. We now have a broader range of resources appropriate for middle grades and middle schools. The much-admired Meet the Author collection now consists of 35 author autobiographies. Newly added to our collection of classroom materials, are the our new writing books. They are designed for PreK to fifth grade. Students and teachers receive uniquely effective  support when using these books for writing  instruction. If you are teaching upper elementary and middle school students, please review School Journals and The News, an exciting collection of non-fiction books that appear in news-magazine format. News Extra is a new series that extends the concept of The News into the middle school.
